Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel with one click from your account dashboard. You keep access until the end of your billing period, then you revert to the free tier.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Nothing is charged during the trial. On day 15 your card is billed at the rate you chose. You can cancel before then with no cost.
Is the founding member pricing locked in?
Yes. If you subscribe now you keep the founding rate for as long as your subscription is active — even after we raise prices.
Do I need a credit card to try Rooftop?
No. All calculators and the retirement projector are free to use without signing up. You only need a card to start a paid trial.
Can my partner and I plan together?
Yes. The household planner is included in Premium and lets each partner enter their own numbers, with combined retirement projections and side-by-side comparison.
What is Monte Carlo simulation?
Monte Carlo runs 500 different versions of your retirement, each with a different random sequence of market returns. It shows you the probability your money lasts — not just one optimistic straight line.
How current is the financial data behind the calculators?
All limits and rates — TFSA room, RRSP caps, CPP/OAS amounts, CESG rules, and provincial tax brackets — are validated weekly against CRA, Service Canada, and Statistics Canada publications. The data set was last fully verified on April 18, 2026. A full sources register is maintained internally and updated every time a government source publishes new figures.
